The main focus of the activities of the department is on: -
(i)
The development of the requisite infrastructure for improving the productivity.
(ii)
The preservation & protection of livestock by providing proper health care facilities.
(iii)
Increase in the production of major livestock products especially milk to meet the increasing per capita requirement.
